Re: Sleeping 'Guards' of Delhi
No,... this never puts the thing in perspective....you are hopelessly trying to degrade India by giving personal examples of drowning oneself in booze etc...
be fair, while reading the article....I guess writer wants to convey some broader message rather than what you thought.
I know it's hard for Pakistanis to analyse with Indian example...that's why let's take example from Arab countries---your religious inspiration and guides... Imagine a person living in Dubai and a person living in Saudi Arabia, according to your categorization Dubai should be the worst compared to Saudi Arabia.....because it's free and open society ???...if someone wants to drown oneself then only he should migrate to Dubai...otherwise heaven is only in Saudi....??
There are at least three popular pubs in Mumbai where, we live....but I hardly visited any of them...so how can I be drowned when it's upto me to decide??...
But since I never visited any of these pubs due to my belief...still I never demanded a "fat-waa" or "fat-woo' to close these...they are simply just another place which is not meant for me and my family......it all depends on individual... Still, I never threatened my classmate visiting these pubs frequently that you will burn in hellfire.
There are many chicken and butcher shops near my house....but I am still 100% vegetarian....did that affected me or that shopowner??....
Allowing freedom in society through transparecy and fairness doesnot mean leading the society towards hell-fire....that's what the writer meant to say...through example.
Get of your high horse Indian.
Expatriate Gujarati Muslims say they can’t slaughter cows in India out of fear of their Hindu neighbours whether beef is legal or illegal in a certain state. Butchers and their families don’t have a very safe time either…
In the 60s fundamentalist Hindus raided the house of parliament so that a bill is passed to ban the slaughter of beef, t seems like Hindus do like to enforce their beliefs on others, they’re not so tolerant after all.
We Muslims don’t eat pork but we’re not bothered if a Paki Christian kills a wild bore or two, we might find it nauseating but we don’t enforce our beliefs on others…
