Sleeping at work allowed by more and more companies

Big companies like Google allow their employees to take short naps.
Do you support this idea?

This video provides some clever sleep-at-work techniques:

Re: Sleeping at work allowed by more and more companies

I support this idea whole heartedly . I take a nap during my lunch break. I go under shade of tree park my car and use a neck pillow to have that 20 to 40 minute nap. That make me more productive for the second half of the workday.

Re: Sleeping at work allowed by more and more companies

Google has extremely innovative work environment.
I saw it on you tube they even let their employ play indor games while at work.

No wonder they are kicking A@$

Re: Sleeping at work allowed by more and more companies

It doesn’t matter to me, because I can’t go to sleep any place other than at home, in my bed. It takes me a day and a half to travel to Pakistan from Ireland and I just can’t sleep during the entire journey. So this idea will only work for those who can fall asleep anywhere, any time. Besides, when I fall asleep, I do so for hours, not minutes. :phati:

When I was on my internship, I used to go for a walk in the first 30 minutes of lunch time. That used to be my exercise for the day. And then I used to eat on my desk afterwards hehe.

Re: Sleeping at work allowed by more and more companies

short nap kay bad to benda or hi sust ho jata hai

Re: Sleeping at work allowed by more and more companies

Power naps are awesome but in my line of work it's not possible, in fact if i fall asleep at work it might prove fatal so best to stay awake, besides four hours isw all the time i need during a day.

Re: Sleeping at work allowed by more and more companies

If an employee's performance is not affected - why not.

Re: Sleeping at work allowed by more and more companies

Indeed why not? In fact it could b good for morale… but heaven knows, especially if one workers a snoring dragon. :omg:

Re: Sleeping at work allowed by more and more companies

Awesome. Now I need a job where they pay me just to sleep.

Re: Sleeping at work allowed by more and more companies

In your dreams. :)
They expect you work long hours once you have taken that power nap.

Re: Sleeping at work allowed by more and more companies

NO --- The efficiency of a human body and brain goes down after taking a nap during work or day time!

The companies may calculate whole naps time for a working day and shorten the day and let workers go home either early or come late at work!

Re: Sleeping at work allowed by more and more companies

Those who are opposing the sleep-at-work idea probably have never done a hard 9-6 job for a long period of time.

Re: Sleeping at work allowed by more and more companies

^ I've done 8 to 6. You do feel tired but I seriously wouldn't feel like working if I took a nap and woke up after 30 short minutes. I'm not opposing it though.

Re: Sleeping at work allowed by more and more companies

if u have break in your working hour, do what u wana do, eat/sleep/walk/exersize, and start work again even its for one hour or less
