Sleep

I have sleeping problems.
But I can not sleep early, for instance yesterday I went early to bed coz I was tired and , it took me two hours to sleep. And I had to wake up early today.

Do you guys have any tips?

I have the same problem but i take some sleeping pill at night

Re: Sleep

It takes a few tries to get your body used to the routine of shutting down at particular hour. Always make sure you are in bed by a certain hour and awake by a certain hour...eventually your body will adjust to this pattern and automatically begin to fall asleep.

Re: Sleep

Yes I used to have this problem. Try some of these:

-Try to wind down an hour before bed time. Turn off the tv and don't do anything over stimulating like study or work.
-Read dua's before you go to sleep
-drink warm milk
-reading a book helps alot
-change your pillow or mattress (I had a very bad mattress it was too soft for me. I changed my bed and the mattress was much firmer and I slept like a baby!)

Hope that helps!

^ Yes. Also, try drinking hot chocolate a lot of people swear by it.

NOTTTTT working all aboveeeeee....please tell me any tips????? how can i put my self to sleep :(

Re: Sleep

warm milk with a tsp of honey should help.

No :(

Re: Sleep

Too much of thinking or tention results restlessness inside the brain. Which makes us unable to sleep sometimes. Try not to think too much, wash your hands and face before you leave for bed. If it still doesnt work, try having a heavy dinner.

Re: Sleep

Take 10 min every night to worry about stuff. That's from one of Dale Carnegie's books and if that's why you're up schedule worry time to worry about bills, relationships, world peace, whether Tiger will ever man up, if Chris Bosh will leave the Raptors, whatever you want!

Also you can work out. If you go hard enough it will tire you and and you will fall asleep. But don't do it right before you sleep. At least 3-4 hours but preferably 5-6 hours before bed time.

And as someone posted it does take a while for you body to adjust to a new sleeping time.

These posts contain good advice. Eat well and drink milk before going to bed. Milk is more filling, so you're less likely to have a growling stomach while trying to sleep. Don't workout late at night- I heard that makes it harder to sleep. Also, don't focus on trying to sleep. Don't tell yourself, "I need to sleep. Why am I not asleep yet?" Don't have anything on your mind when you go to bed, close your eyes, and eventually you will fall asleep.

Re: Sleep

a hot shower really relaxes the body...

don't drink caffiene after 2pm

read a book as it tires the brain

set a decent temperature in the bedroom, not too hot not too cold and open the window a little for some fresh air that always helps me.
