Do you try your best to get a full 8 hours of sleep?
I used to not … I would go on 3-5 hours of sleep every night, except Friday night where I took a full 10-12 hours. Exhaustion from the week. Now I’m sleeping a full 8 hours, and I’m freaked out, because since I’m sleeping more, I have less time to do work during the day…I think its a whatever situation now, but later, when I have more responsibility, I don’t know if I’ll be able to go back to living on 3-5 hours per night.
Sleep is soooooo ummmm good. But I think 8 hours of sleep is dangerous for the American materialistic capitalistic overworked society.
:o
Its like if I sleep more, I make less money. :o :o :o
Is it just me, or do people in Pakistan get more sleep?
I need more sleep actually, but internet, movies, books keep me awake more than is actually good for me!
I should sleep around ten or eleven, but very often it's near just after midnight that I go to sleep. You keep thinking, ok, five more minutes, let's finish watching/reading this and after this part I will def go to sleep, and you end up watching/reading longer!
If I don’t get at least 8 hours of sleep, I am a zombie the next day. I go to bed early and wake up early … I need my sleep. If I don’t get it, God help those around me.
I'm lucky if I get 3 or 4 hours of sleep because of the kids. Maya is going through some major teething right now. Since she sleeps next to me she is nursing all night. So my 3 hours or so of sleep are broken and not restful.
Blushing Vision you can get a full nights sleep with a baby if you sleep train the baby. Because I chose to nurse and co-sleep I'm setting myself up for no sleep. But if you keep baby in a crib and let the baby cry-it-out, then you can train the baby to sleep through the night. Maya used to sleep 7 hours straight at 3 months old but teething happened and I started to bring her in the bed.
I think in general people in Pakistan get more sleep. In summer, they inside and take an afternoon nap. American industries would break down if we all had to take a nap.
Blushing… u better get aaaaaaall the sleep u can manage right now. Fully indulge in the wonders of it. Cuz babe, it ain’t happenin after the baby is here. So without any guilt, sleep away. sleep away!
PGC, good thread!
These days, I’m not getting any sleep. Last 3 nights in a row, I was lying down but awake at any freaking sound. The change in weather sometimes plays a vital role on my sleep pattren. I’m an extreme sensitive sleeper yet I’ve managed to get myself into a life where ppl are so loud around me
I think ppl who actually get a good sleep at night are very lucky. I can’t even dream of uninterrupted 4 hrs of sleep. But yes in Pakistan, ppl get more rest and sleep unlike here.
There was a time in my life when i used to get full 8 hrs of sleep.
These days I hardly get 5 hours n sometimes 6 if I'm lucky. On weekends I rush to bed after fajar prayer ....but just half n hour later my kids start jumping around me demanding for breakfast.sigh
But I think its slightly improving now n I hope to get some more sleep when the youngest starts the school InshaAllah!
