My parents didnt allow sleepovers,but over night school trips were okay. While in Primaray school and High School ,either Mom or Dad would go with me and my siblings.
Where i live teachers always need at least 2 parents to help in organizing the trip and the parents have to go too.
Not many parents are actually crazy about going on a school trip in class 2, 4,8 and 10,but my parents always did it,that way we didnt miss out and it was a good experience.In college we were allowed to go alone on night trips.

My parents never allowed it and i was ok with it, i dont think i ever had an argument with them about this issue, whenever these sort of events would come up,, i always directly told that i wont participate ,, i knew that parent didnt like the idea of sleepovers or night out trips etc. and i respected that. I'A same will go for my own kids in future.
