Slave to the Hadith

I have seen many type of Muslims here at this website but here are two types that I have seen quite a few of;

Those who forgo common sense and instead turn to something that tells them what to do, for everything. They find the need to search out if the very basic life doings are haram or not. I sometimes wonder if Allah has meant to make these humans sheep but got distracted along the way and turned them into humans. While looking for guidance on how to live as Allah would want you to live is normal, these types take it far beyond that.

The second type around here is the Muslim that tells other Muslims that they are doing is wrong. They cry out at others for being bad Muslims without saying it. They often cite Hadiths which are then are disagreed upon by several people on what they actually mean. When these types are question they act or even accuse those that they are doing the questioning that they are questioning Mohammed or himself.

Now you put these two types together and you can see what would happen a dominate group telling a submissive and confused group how to act. In Islam is the relationship between Muslim and Allah or is it between Muslim, man, and Allah?

Are my perceptions wrong?

Re: Slave to the Hadith

after reading your post... i'd say you are of the second type

Re: Slave to the Hadith

:hehe:

Re: Slave to the Hadith

You forgot the third type who cite from Quran apart from hadeeth alone. For Example:
:bism:
3:110 Ye (Muslims) are the best of the nations ever raised among mankind (for the reason that you) enjoin what is right, forbid what is wrong, and believe in Allah:swt:. If only the People of the Book had faith, it were best for them: among them are some who have faith, but most of them are perverted transgressors.

Re: Slave to the Hadith

and i think it will be ages before u get the right idea…
till then, keep trying…

Re: Slave to the Hadith

between muslims and Allah but there are people (and unfortunately they are more in number) who think they know more of the islamic faith than Allah Himself. you'd fond many of them around.
