Hey! Hope everyone is doing well today. I’m Daphne - I work for BBC America, and with the permission of Shikra, I’m starting an official thread for the brit-teen crossover series Skins.
For those unfamiliar with the show, it follows a wild and diverse group of friends in Bristol trying to navigate through real, often risque issues you don’t come to find in most teen shows. Though written by young adults (most under age 22), it’s geared toward an adult audience because of it’s mature themes. It features characters like Tony, the oh-so popular but manipulative leader of the pack, Maxxie, the gay kid with a knack for dancing, and his best friend Anwar, the practicing Muslim torn between all-night parties and his family’s expectations.
The show airs August 17 at 9 PM on BBC America. For those of you who watch, let’s hear your take on the show!

I actually haven't seen series 3 yet, but I've heard somewhere that they are going to bring in a new cast to keep it fresh! I don't know if that's true, but I guess we'll see!
