Skin types..

So what xactly is oily skin? and what is classified as “drY” skin?

I thought it was kinda obvious but yesterday, I wetn to the clinique counter (they were giving out 7 day samples of their 3 step care) and after talking to her the lady said i had a completely different skin type than I always assumed. She said unless my face feels like completely tight and dry alll day long (instead of after washing it) then it leans towards oilier side than dry. So is that true? :konfused:

Re: Skin types..

sometime it happens and most of all climate/weather effects ur skin also.If u are in coastal areas ur skin gets dry to oily,if u r in rainy area ur skin reacts different.Right now where i am living everyone's skin gets ddry and its not good

Re: Skin types..

if the products u use currently suit your skin there's no need to think otherwise. yes u can have oily skin that sometimes feels tight. mostly characteristics of oily skin are enlarged pores, frequent breakouts/blackheads, an oily sheen on skin etc. and dry skin usually is tight, flaky and gets wrinkled easily. its complicated though....sometimes if your oily skin is washed too much it produces even More oil. sometimes u can have superoily skin in summer and superdry skin in winter.

Re: Skin types..

Well I don’t have many complaints abt my skin, i havnt had any bad allergic reactions in years…thats when I wud always get allergic reactions so i figured my skin was super sensitive/dry but i guess its improved over the years, alhumdulillah  In the summer i just assumed it was sweat, coz of th eheat n all :stuck_out_tongue: Meh w/e…

Re: Skin types..

Clinique are cr@p when it comes to analysing skincare.....no wonder they have to give their samples away :p

Re: Skin types..
