Skin Queries~

^ Sounds like a good idea! :D

Re: Skin Queries~

he gina.. can jaiphal + unboiled milk's paste be used on spots?

I wanted to know if anyone had any suggestions with dealing with vitiligo (white spots on the skin)? We are trying to avoid using steroid creams because they are supposed to be very harsh. Any suggestions or experiences of others would be greatly appreciated.

^ Don't rely on home-remedies for such things..

Re: Skin Queries~

I have a query im 28 and allhumdillah never suffered from ache well the odd spot here and there but recently past few months ive had a breakout of spots painful ones on my chin area only :( One goes leaves a mark and a few days later I get another one, I do regularly cleanse tone & moisturiser but I just dont understand why these spots keep on appearing any idea as to why this is? and what I could do to prevent this.. thank you

Hormonal changes/imbalance? Do you use a medicated facewash?

Re: Skin Queries~

^ hmm maybe.. Ive got 3 facewashes 2 are from simple skin care & the newest one is neutrogena exfoliator..

im waiting :)

I've heard of 'unboiled' milk being used for treating acne, never heard of 'jaiphal' though.

Hey Gina .. wud u recommend mint leaves juice for acne? I'm thinkin to apply that daily overnight to clear up acne.
Also, can u please suggest sum tips for lighter complexion of feet?

Hi Gina, you are doing an amazing job here and I am really thankful :)

I am a regular user of the Body shop Vitamin E range, but this summer it is not working for me. I have developed oily oily oily skin all of a sudden and it is so upsetting :( I am getting pimples on my forehead and chin like a chain reaction.

I bought the tea tree oil moisturizer yesterday from TBS and used it this morning after washing my face with a neutrogena face was and suddenly my skin turned extremely dry and patchy! Is it ok to mix it with my Vit E moisturizer and then apply it?

Please also suggest a home remedy (I am allergic to egg white and have sensitive skin. talk about skin problems!!)

Thanks a lot dear. I am really upset. I am getting married in November

Neutrogena facewash is pretty drying.. either use that and a moisturizing cream. Or a moisturizing facewasg and the tea tree toner. Usually summers are bad for people with oily skin. The Vitamin E range will leave your face feeling greasy. Use the tea tree toner to combat any oiliness and follow-up with a good sunblock too.

Mint and neem in equal portions made into a paste is said to help lighten acne scars and blemishes.

Scrub your feet with a mixture of lemon juice, olive oil and brown sugar.. and use a heavy moisturizer on your feet.

Thanks ... just wonderin wat if i use the regular white sugar?

ok this was adviced by a herbalist..just wanted a second opinion on it..

hey Gina .. i ask my mom abt the neem leaves n she said u can't find dem here in States :s .. so wat cud i use as a substitute or wat if i just apply mint juice?

Just use mint leaves with a drop or two of lemon juice then :)

Nancy I asked someone, are you talking about 'kacha doodh'?

Re: Skin Queries~

yup, unboiled milk is kacha doodh isnt it?

Re: Skin Queries~

i am 23 year old and facing problem of frackles for last 3 or 4 years (chaeyan) i hve oily skin plz tell me any home product to remove hem immediate

Freckles aren't 'chaiyan', and home-remedies take a long time :)

Please see a derm for the pigmentation, I've posted a thread "More home-remedies" please go through that as well.

Nancy, I've heard it's good for acne scars.
