hi Gina, ive been using neutrogena anti wrinkle night cream for about a week now...it contains retinol only...and now my skin has started peeling off a little in certain patches on my chin and cheeks...can i combine a body shop vitamin e day cream moisturiser to go with it???
does vitamin e interfere with retinol by any chance? i read somewhere that vitamin c interferes with retinol...thats y i ask...
also, is it normal to have skin peeling like this? i have oily skin, but no acne - just wanted to lighten it a bit and get rid of pigmentation marks on my cheeks, thats y i got the retinol cream...also using body shop tea tree oil face wash - truly wonderful face wash it is!!!!!!
also, how normal is such flaking? shud i reduce use to every alternate day??
i also have a 3rd question; i swim in a covered pool and i could SWEAR that the cholorine (or something else in the pool, i dont know) spoils my skin tone and complexion - i always end up with uneven looking skin a couple of days later - im seriously thinking to stop swimming now!!! is this normal? does anyone have any explanation?
Flakiness and peeling is normal with products containing retinol.. don't combine anything with that product but apply u're vitamin E cream after a gap of an hour.
If u're skin turns dark and patchy before peeling-off then def use it every alternate day.
