So I have been using this acne spot treatment & it is really good. In just 1 week it removed most of my scars but after that the process got real slow. What you ladies think the reason is? Is it my skin got use to it & want something more stronger now?My treatment has salicylic acid in it. I can actually see the process gone slow, now its taking like 1 month to remove the scars which it removed in 1 week before. Should I stop using it for a while & then try after few days?
Re: Skin Problem
Are you referring to "scars" or actually break-outs (i.e. pimples)?

Scars
Re: Skin Problem
Acne spot treatments containing salicylic acid is meant to treat acne/pimples. It's not meant to remove scars.
What exact product are you using? Does it say on the package that this product has a specific ingredient that is meant to lighten/remove scars?
Re: Skin Problem
I just read the description of this on the product’s website. Nothing it in says that it’s meant to remove scars.
Many people experience some type of peeling when starting AHA’s or BHA’s. Usually that skin builds tolerance after time and handles the product better. That does not mean that the product is not working.
BTW, products like this (this has salicylic acid and retinol) makes your skin VERY sensitive to the sun to make sure you wear a good sunscreen everyday. Otherwise you will get age/sun spots.
Re: Skin Problem
Use proper 0.5% retin-A cream or gel to get rid of scars. Order it from Bonanza.com. You can also use Hydroquinone 4%, it can correct hyperpigmentation and you can also order that from Bonanza.com. You can also use a 20%-35% TCA peel, but please get it done professionally. You could scar your face even more if you do it yourself and start peeling your skin because you are too damn impatient like me. I have two scars from a TCA peel and now I am going for CO2 DOT therapy to get rid of them. CO2 DOT therapy is ineffective on darker skin so keep that in mind. Check Fitzpatrick Skin Scale to see where you fit (1,2,3 type effective, anything else not effective). It's probably the best option but definitely not cheap.
