Re: skin problem

post again!! they look really good, but way too small

Marwah, try and switch to a different water-based foundation and see if that works better for you..

Re: skin problem

i use MAC's studio fix powders, is that water based?

the result would b the same

Marwah try bobbi brown.. I blv they have a flawless finish I love the foundation sticks, they blend so well!

Really? bad comments about it?:s ohhh i haven't thats why i advised it. ooopss...well if anyone has any info about it do let me know. Or i think you must be talking about the mixture creams which girls put in pakistan. THAT IS DAMN DANGEROUS!!!!! when my cousins came over from pak they got tonnes of these mixtures creams with archi in it and some others, but i prefered to put that soley. :s mmmm.....

yes hijab(viel) does cause a little extra boost of acne on the face hehe. I too wear a viel and i know, it's usually around the sides. Ajwein powder will definately work, i assure you but it will sting so BEWARE. don't want you cursing me hehe. :p jus kidding sis.

btw, you look stunning in your wedding pics. just that i need a magnifying glass to see them properly :p hehe

mix any daycream wid foundation and apply... it will help

oh..hmm..i went to bobbi brown and they said they don't have powders. won't the foundation sticks be bad for my oily skin?

One thing Ive also noticed is the difference between applying foundation with a brush vs fingers or even sponges.

I like the way my foundation looks if I use a brush rather than anything else. I know it sounds like a very small change but try it.

I would use Olive Oil on your skin and make sure you use a brush for your foundation.

The key is priming u're skin before u apply any kind of foundation. Use a moisturiser and skin primer before u apply foundation. I blv foundation sticks are best for heavy-coverage, while liquid foundations are best for medium to light coverage.

Dig-up the thread foundation 101 i've provided various brands and tips see which ones work for you!

Re: skin problem

1st. start of with a clean moisturized face if it is a big day then use a scrub the night b4.

2nd. use a primer (i use Mac prem+prime) apply foundation with fingers then buff out with a mac 187 duo brush.
if u dont like to much coverage then u can mix ur moisturizer with the foundation after u have done this, then get your hands and press down on your cheeks, fore head and chin.

3rd. powder ur face then wait for the foundation to set on your face and spray charged water (Mac) or fix plus spray (also mac)

remember to conceal and cover eye bags first then apply foundation

Hope this works, it works for me who has sensitive skin :)

Re: skin problem

for heavy covarage i recently brought mac full coverage Foundation and i would recommend it for people with scars it works wonders and photographs wicked!

if you want full coverage then use a dry sponge to apply foundation. if you want a more natural coverage then wet the sponge with water or fix plus.

**haha, yaar actually the enlarged pics i posted many days ago but i think now due to uploading prob mod decreased its size

Re: skin problem

hey I have a T-zone myself and found the same problem with the MAC studio fix.. it went on and flakes appeared around my nose and forehead. So, i went to Sephora and talked to a makeup artist there who tried on a few different kinds of foundations on me and gave me samples of each one. The Christian Dior went on absolutely flawlessly and I've tried the foundation on a few times now and it seems to suit me the best.. maybe u can try and make a trip to them too..

Also, I tried using neutrogena daily moisturizer with SPF 15 and that seemed to take care of the problem, i applied only face powder afterwards..

hope this helps :)

Re: skin problem

i have tried all kinds of founation and i brakeout alot but ever since i use bare mineral my skin has gotten better and its so much easier to use. well it doesn't cover up alot though but it feel so natural and harmfree. If u have an acne use viesine eyedrops on acne before putting on foundation and makes it look even like using an primer on. well im gona try that ajwain thing can someone tell me how to use it, do i blend it put it like mask or only on spot at night time or day time ??????

Try using a mild lotion soap whenever you wash and warm water only, hot water can dry skin out more. Also avoid rubbing skin too hard when drying it. Make sure to use a sensitive skin lotion, as these are generally milder on the skin. I personally prefer Euceren (however you spell it don't have the bottle handy). I have eczema and have dealt with the problem for years, definitely no fun.

Re: skin problem

Dry skin can also result from the soap you are using.

Try changing it to something mild or a cleanser rather than soap itself.

I use Cetaphil for OIly skin and my skin doesnt get dry at all.
