:::Skin Exfoliation:::

Hi everyone,

I have read so many times about chemical peels and everything chanda said passed over my head most of the times so i have conducted some research into this.
i have made my decision by over looking these few articles and i thought i should share them with everyone so they can make an informed decision about their choice of exfoliation.
My skin have oily Tzone area with few dry patches on my cheeks and i get breakouts occationally.

we need exfoliation because if we dont exfoliate dead cells that are still attached to the skin can cause pimple.
(Inside the pore are sebaceous glands which produce sebum. When the outer layers of skin shed (as they do continuously), the dead skin cells left behind may become ‘glued’ together by the sebum. This causes a blockage in the pore, especially when the skin becomes thicker at puberty.[2]](Pimple - Wikipedia) The sebaceous glands produce more sebum which builds up behind the blockage, and this sebum harbours various bacteria including the species Propionibacterium acnes](Cutibacterium acnes - Wikipedia).)

I hope chanda doesn’t mind if I include her views which I have read here which include:
low concentration salicylic acid peels combined with a glycolic face wash, and retin a/tazorac is the best routine. for reducigng pimples
i do a 3% salicylic acid peel every two weeks, only because i use sunscreen, and am acne prone. I also use a good moisturizer at bedtime.
she has tried 12.5% tca peel and 20% glycolic peel 20% tca peel and 50% glycolic, and 25% salicylic acid, 50% lactic acid.
she recommends for asian skin 12.5% TCA peel and 20% glycolic peel, and 3% salicylic peel, , and 35% lactic acid peel.
one could read more about it from
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chemical_peel](Chemical peel - Wikipedia)
platinumskincare and makeupartistschoice and how-tos etc.

        Having considered all options I feel at this time when in my 20s and have no dry skin, Chemical peeling isn’t suitable for me but in this process I have reflected the importance of exfoliation and also the benefits of Retinol (fency name for Vit A) which when absorbed **through the skin and increases the rate of skin turnover, and gives an increase in ****collagen**](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Collagen) giving a more youthful appearance. Therefore I should try to exfoliate mechanically preferably with upton made from bason haldi almond powder and lemon juice once a week and apply Vitamin A afterwards to nourish my skin.

Please leave your feedback where you feel I have failed to mention or misunderstood.
Regards.
