Skin Damage

Re: Skin Damage

  • I cleanse twice a day because I wear makeup. Most people cleanse morning and night.

  • You follow cleansing with toning…again…if you cleanse twice a day then tone twice a day too. Some people skip toning in the morning but definitely tone at night.

  • Moisturizing well is important. Oil free moisturizer if you feel you’re too oily right now. You can do a day and night moisturizer as well. Your night one will be stronger to help counter damage your skin goes through during the day.

  • Follow with sunscreen. You obviously don’t need it at night but during the day (even if its cloudy) you do.

  • In this regimen…you can incorporate exfoliation either once a week or twice a week. I would start with once a week and see how you do. Some exfoliate almost everyday because the look of fresh skin is tempting. But you just end up being too rough on your skin that way.

  • You can try going for a facial if you want. Its just a really nice deep cleansing. I don’t know about others but once a month or 6 weeks I do one and since I started its made a HUGE difference in my skin.

  • Stop touching your face…when you get acne of any kind your immediate reaction is to touch it and it does not help. It makes it worse because the bacteria spreads . Plus your hands touch a million things all day long…and then you touch your face.
