ive been to many paki weddings here in the US and ive seen many girls with darker tones look completely white on their wedding day. Face i can understand bc of makeup, but Arms and Hands? i dont understand how they can lighten their skin so fast?

I have seen a dark complexioned bride at parlour in Pakistan, base was being put all over her arms to match the tone with her face...but to tell you she didnt look at all cakey or bad...it depends upon type of makeup being done, it was really good

Don't they apply loads of ubtan? I heard that helps. Also, bleaching is done too. Though that usually doesn't change the skin color but rather the color of the fuzzy peach.

There's supposed to be a make up guy in the UK who is very well known for making brides look lighter than they are - can't for the life of me remember his name.
It's a shame that people aren't happy in their own skin. It's what god has given you, so get used to it. You will never be what you dream of being.

i understand if you want to go a shade or two lighter, but in all, ppl should not conform to the "white" "fair" look. Every color is nice, if its at the point where your putting makeup on your hands and arms you NEED A THERAPIST.
