So like guy has to have a stable job, know how to manage finances of a household, fix stuff in the house, be a primary driver, deal with all baahir ki dunia, also how to balance wife + mother, and so on and so forth. It is expected that guy do/acquire skills to do all this before marriage.
What does girl have to learn/acquire skills/achieve before marry?
I think this is all kehnay ki batein that men need to know how to do all of this. Its mostly women who do all of the above.
Men usually will bring home the halal bacon (this is a figure of speech referencing his salary).
I work full time, cook, clean, do laundry, drive myself, pay all of the bills, do all of our shopping, errands, manage our finances and deal with the "baahir ki duniya" as you put it. He works a very hectic schedule so when he comes home, he helps me with the baby, "fixes things" and sometimes will take us out. Its not that his contribution is less...but to think that all of these tasks fall into the husband's lap and wife just sits home twiddling her fingers...is naive.
In my world
the girl has to have a stable job, know how to manage finances of a household, fix stuff in the house, be a primary driver, deal with all baahir ki dunia, also how to balance husband + family (own and inlaws)+kids AND look good while doing it all... so on and so forth.

discusss pliz
all that and look attractive. (whatever the definition of attractive to you is)
Wow, you just described my mother as the man of the family. Nice to know. My dad knows how to make gol rotiyan though so it balances out.
Everytime I see gypshupper try to make 'controversial' topic I feel like asking, abhi bhi not over your mommy issues? she seems to have really made you bitter.
