hey guys, does anybody have an idea as to how big mayoun dupattas/cloths usually are? and will i need a separate colour for the groom and the bride?please please really need help here
Dupattas that you walk them in with? A regular size dupatta. Just wider.
Colors can by the typical red with gota, kaam & all or yellow as well.
Re: Size of mayoun cloth
don't stress too much about those dupattas, i've never really noticed how pretty or how big anyone's walk-in dupatta is. you can't even see it in pics cuz its like all the way on top and unless the pic is at an angle, the only thing you see is the edges of the dupatta. how big it is prob depends on how many cousins you want bringing you in. if you whole khandan is gonna wanna hold a side of the dupatta to bring you in you better make sure its huge :)
Re: Size of mayoun cloth
Those are regular dupattas esp. of a bridal lehnga a previous sister/friend/family member got married in. Remember to hold it kaam side down so that the kaam shows above the bride/groom’s head and not the underside of the dupatta with the threads. These can be made with flowers or bangles, too.
If you want to be traditional, the colours are green and yellow but any bright colour would work.
