I was going to post this on the WA board but we can expect the Brit-Pakistani suspects to divulge unfavorable news on how they got training in FATA shortly. It seems like every week we have one of these groups in the news in US or UK or elsewhere. The places change but the Pakistani link and the shame and bad name these idiots bring on us stays the same.
I do hope and pray that this is wrong (remember the poor students few months ago?), but more often than not these idiots turn out to be real jihadi types.
Re: Six British-Pakistanis arrested in Birmingham - “terrorist plot” averted
“Past raids have seen the authorities embarrassed and caused harm to community relations when intelligence turned out to be wrong. West Midlands police have tended to adopt a policy of releasing minimal information.”
They still haven’t found anything and most likely this raid is going to be like the ones in past.

In present volatile situation, Pakistan should eliminate dual citizenship law. This will stop these jihadi dual citizens to visit Pakistan easily. They should only have passport of their new adopted country and by coming on visas they can be tracked as well, just like anyother gora. They are doing more harm to Pakistan than Britain.

Good point...i'm a born Indian but now i'm a Canadian Citizen and when i visit India i've to have a visa. If my stay in India is for any reason longer than 6 months, i've to register with the local police. i think it's a great way to track visitors.

But, India has OCI (Overseas citizen of India), which is almost like Passport. I am not sure how different this is from dual citizenship.
1) You have to renounce your Indian citizenship and surrender passport.
2) Apply and get OCI on the basis of your past Indian Citizenship or Indian ancestory.
3) No need to apply for Visa or register with police, but Indian governemnt know you are citizen of another country.
4) Can't vote in Indian elections
5) Can not own farm land.
6) Can own other moveable and imovable proterties, but repatriation of any income subjects to countires For-Ex rules
Re: Six British-Pakistanis arrested in Birmingham - "terrorist plot" averted
I don't see the controversy over dual citizenship. Pakistani citizens already have their entry and exit extensively monitored, and having entered and left Pakistan on both Pakistani and British passports I know that you get tracked in exactly the same way.
Indeed, most of the british militants of Pakistani origin who have been identified over the past couple of years have been British citizens only, who entered Pakistan on tourist visas.
