This tournament introduced payjama cricket with all the Channel 9 glamour to the TV viewers in the subcontinent.
Most Indians will remember this tournament for Ravi Shastri being awarded the AUDI . (It would probably not be that big a deal now).
Also, Sadanand Vishwanath, the wicket-keeper who does the stumping in the above clip, was heralded as a player with great potential. Unfortunately, just like Sivaramakrishnan, he too would soon fizzle out.

Also, I was just reminded of a story Sunil Gavaskar relates in his book One Day Wonders.
In this tournament, India won all the matches it played and had little trouble getting into the semi-final and finals. Interestingly though, Pakistan needed India to beat Australia in order for Pakistan to get into the Semi Final.
So during the India-Australia match, as per Gavaskar, Miandad stationed himself in the Indian dressing room and was giving unsolicited advice to Gavaskar (India's captain) on India's gameplan etc.

Wasim Akram LBW appeal
I watched the other clip of Wasim Akram LBW appeal being denied by Merv Kitchen (one of the clips at the bootom of the window). Unbeleivable. Kitchen has to be blind. The commentator implied that perhaps the umpire was unable to notice that Wasim had reverse swung the ball to make it straighten and miss the outside edge and hit the back pad on the full just inches from the middle stump. IMO, even if he missed the straighting of the ball, the fact that it struck on the full so close to the middle stump meant that it was bound to hit middle or leg stump.

Going back to the original clip of Miandad...I don't know if Siva realy bamboozled miandad, cause Miandad just failed to get to the pitch of the ball and missed the line...
If a batsman totally fails to read the bowler or picks up his wrong'un or doosra, then I would imagine he is being bamboozled...

^ You are 1000% right. That was my thought also when I first viewed the clip. It was a routine leg-spinner's ball...nothing out of the ordinary. Miandad could actually have crashed it through the off, if he had chosen to be on the backfoot.
People need to see the ball that Piyush Chawla bowled to Ashraful in a recent ODI against BD (can't find it on YouTube). That was some bamboozling...a ripper of a googly.
