Sitting through shellacking

Anyone watched last night presidential debate? How do candidates manage to sit through the verbal lashing they get from their opponent with hardly any wincing? I know they have been practising for a long time, but still it must be nerve-racking for each of them. I was getting nervous simple from watching it and I have absolutely no vested interest in it or the outcome.

What’s Pakistani equivalent of this debate?

Re: Sitting through shellacking

You're vexing over nothing. It's all "Topi" drama anyway.

Re: Sitting through shellacking

They probably go through serious counseling sessions before the debate. And they do get the chance to fight back.

Re: Sitting through shellacking

^ I know they must have the confidence of a beast, if I were up there, I know for sure I would burst into tears. And then I would be anxious enough to come home and ask my family if it was appropriate to cry and the more important question how did I look, my counselor would not be happy....

Re: Sitting through shellacking

They be politicians. Beghairat to their haddi. Nothing effects them.

Re: Sitting through shellacking

Re: Sitting through shellacking

You know, when you are fighting for the position of the president of USofA, you better have that confidence.
