Ok question to women here. If this country sees second marriage as illegal why r u women worried that your husband will take another wife. Even if he does, this won’t be accepted in West anyway. I mean if he takes another wife, divorce him and move on. Y putting all that marriage stipulation etc. etc. at first place?.

They can do the nikah only so the marriage isn’t registered but still Islamically married..

There’s a story in the papers today about a guy who murdered wife no.2 here in the UK.. VERY extreme case but yeah, it’s possible to have more than one wife..
