sisters khulla

My sisters marriage took place in Pakistan. She’s applied for khulla last Oct. Now the husband ( because hebfeels maybe the British shariah council are not giving him what he wants - ) he says he’s going to the courts in Pakistan as the marriage took place there and has jurisdiction.
Any truth?
Also he says he’s going to a HANFI court - is there such a thing?

Lastly my sisters applied to the shariah council here does she still need to go to a solicitor for a civil divorce? Or is going to the shariah council and being granted a khulla enough?

We have an appointment with the lawyer tomorrow any questions my sister should ask?

Thankyou please do help me guys.

sisters khulla

Khulla is her right, her husband or anyone else can't stop her or do anything,

Re: sisters khulla

I don’t know anything about how it works in UK, but I would think that if the weddings as registered in the UK (like did she ever file immigration papers for him?) than she would most likely still need a civil divorce through the courts?

Did you make it back home safely? How are you and the first settling in?
