I use Nasonex but I have something called allergic rhinitis which causes nasal dripping and often infects my throat, Nasonex is the only thing that has helped, regular antihistamines have never worked. However, Nasonex is a steroid so I wouldn’t recommend it unless you absolutely need it and even then use it sparingly. It still works for me but I have heard from others that if you use it too much it stops working for some people. Its also important that when you start using it you use it for 2 weeks regularly to make sure you’ve cleared up all the inflammation. The doctor specifically warned me against just using it until I feel better and then stopping because that doesn’t fully clear the inflammation and can cause it to come back with a vengeance.

This is what the doc told me too…that its a steroid…which is another reason Im not too keen on it.

When you go to an allergy specialist, why is it they give you a million things and confuse the hell out of you?

When I walked out of my doc’s office…I felt like I didnt believe a word she said for some reason.

She gave me Nasonex, Prednisone, Clarinex and two different types of inhalers.

Is this normal???
