Sinning!

Committing a sin is bad enough, but when a sin is combined with one of the following matters, it becomes much worse, and a ‘minor’ sin can become of the most major of sins:

  1. publicizing and boasting of one’s sins. Committing a sin in private is bad, but boasting of it, and posting pictures of it online, demonstrates a complete lack of modesty and a weakness of ‪#‎iman‬.

  2. considering a sin utterly trivial and feeling that it is not a big deal. This leads to a feeling of arrogance of the self, and safety from the wrath of ‪#‎Allah‬ (swt).

  3. habitually making a sin a part of one’s lifestyle, without any regret or remorse or intention to stop or repent.

  4. feeling that one’s sins are so evil that Allah will not forgive them - and this is the worst sin of all on this list. For the claim that ‘Allah will never forgive me’ implies limiting Allah’s infinite mercy and denying that He is al-Ghafur, al-Raheem, al-Afuw, al-Tawwab. Allah can forgive all sins, and He loves to forgive to those who repent.

No doubt, we should avoid sins, but at some level all of us commit sins. Let us repent from those sins, and make sure we do not make it worse by falling into the above matters as well.
May Allah forgive all our sin in this world and on the day of judgment as well Ameen
