:k:

I have a single tip for skin and hair: Green Smoothies.

I’ve been drinking them for maybe 2 months now…and in just a matter of weeks you’ll notice a glow in your overall complextion…and others will pick up on it as well. The vitamins and minerals found in fruits and veggies are absorbed faster/better by the body when they’re in liquid form…which is what happens when you blend the ingredients. Also, the greens that we usually eat are rather bland in taste. If you reflect over the lettuce/spinach leaves in a salad…they don’t have a strong taste. It’s the other ingredients such as as the tomatoes, cheese, dressing that have more of a taste. That said…a green smoothie tastes like fruit juice. You cannot taste the spinach or other vegetable you put into it. I just pour a bit of orange juice or store bought lemonade into the blender…along with a few pieces of frozen fruit. I use frozen blueberries, strawberries, and pineapple. Then I throw in one carrot and a handful of spinach. It will turn a brown color that may not look appealing…but it tastes like fruit. You can thin it out by adding more juice or water. These days I’ve also included sweet potato into my smoothies. I take a small sized sweet potato…or if it’s a bigger one I cut in half…I bake it in the microwave…then I mash it…and throw it in the blender with the juice, fruits, and spinach. Sweet potatoes are considered one of the healthiest vegetables. This can even be used as a meal replacement as it’s filling and you’re getting plenty of nutrients. It can also help in losing weight and provides energy for workouts.
