well i meant the types of marriages where there might be constant emotional/physical/verbal abuse by one person on the other even if help is sought and nothing’s changed. does she need to stay in such an abusive relationship?
my aunt was given a divorce by her doctor husband when he fell in love with a colleague.
divorce is such a taboo word in desi society that many times, divorced women go into a shell and stay in seclusion. hopefully times have changed, they should respect themselves, demand respect from society and show that they can stand on their own, the pitying isn’t necessary.
