how many of you do it? Can other drivers tell when you’re bopping along with the song 
Oh, and how many of you sing along with songs that you wouldn’t sing in public?

Sure I do… okay it’s ussually my native poetry or Zikr/naat or Quwalli and I dont care who’s looking at me and thinking what a freak…

**i always listen to Old Bollywood Songs [Rafi/Asha] and then i sing along. if i like the tune and i am on a long drive i start writing my own urdu poetry...i wrote hundreds of Ghazals this way. this is the way i get into the mood to say poetry whic is called "aamad" in shaa'iri terminology :D
one example of that is:
famous Rafi song:
kitnaa hai tum se pyaar mujhe mere raazdaar?
jitne k aasmaan pe taare haiN be_shumaar!!!
is tarz par amiN ne poorii Ghazal likh Daali...jiskaa ek she'r hai:
unkii zabaan meN chhipe aare haiN be-shumaar
chal jaayeN gar diloN pe to paare haiN be-shumaar!
aare = chainsaw
paare = pieces**

Usually on my way back home - I dont know why but even at this age , coming home from work is like coming home from school for me !

I usually don’t like listening to the radio while driving, I find it distracting. May be when I become an expert on the road, I won’t mind listening to music as well as singing along!

I love listening to the radio, I rarely get a chance to play my own songs. And I do sing along but not when I'm stopped at a signal. The other day my little brother and I saw this guy at a signal head bopping to a song and it just looked so ridiculous. I don't want to look like that lol, unless it's one of my favourite classic rock songs in which case I will do the air guitar no matter what.

I absolutely hate driving without the radio on, its a must..........and I'm guilty of singing along, but I would never ever sing the songs in public

oh yes i do. i dont listen to the radio but my own cds/cassettes in the car.
and no i dont do bopping cause dont feel like doing it (sakoon se gane sunna pasand hain)…i might do it but only if the car windows are closed…otherwise moving my head slowly to the song.

Yeah I song along almost every song thats playing, even when i dont know the lyrics. Oh and i think i do the head banging too :sid:
