Gangaji won’t mind, in hindus many elders also get their ash buried in their ancestral fields too. I know many of my south Indian friends who have sent their ancestors remains in River Krishana

It is good that Sindhis have observed it

I think it was present in Sindhi psyche centuries ago. Marvi (A 13th century girl from Thar) when kidnapped by King Omar Soomro, wished to be buried in Thar.
