Hinduism was present both in what is present India and Pakistan. Gandhari, the mother of the Kauravas, was a Pakistani.

right. I read that earlier Hindu scripture mentions Sindhu and not Ganga

Sindhu also mean river, earlier text are more related to saraswati and post vedic literature has connection to Mata Ganga
