Many of the points mentioned in the article are true. Even to date Sindhis in Pakistan consider it their mistake for not raising voice against such migration. There were no riots in Sindh like Punjab and other areas at the time of partition and if then government had taken proper steps, there was no need for migration of Sindhi Hindus.

The issue is severe, but such incidents are not representative of our all Sindhi society. Sindhi society is not at all rigid towards religion.

i think it's pakistan loss,most of the sindhi hindus are from upper middleclass mostly into trading,our next pm might be sindhi hindu advaniji
there are some of the areas in mumbai like mahim which are completely occupied by sindhis
btw there is a big film star in tamil who is of sindhi origin

Why are the Hindu women in dish being converted to Islam? There are Christians in Punjab who no one is converting?

I think Rajkumar Hirani ( Munna Bhai & 3 Idiots), Shobha Kapoor (mother of Ekta Kapoor) are also Sindhi. Kareena / Karishma's mother Babeeta is also Sindhi.

I think the situation has nothing to do with religion as I already said there is no active movement in Sindhi society for conversion. In Sindh, Hindu and Muslims shared same saints. Hindu considers Laal Shabaz and Shah Latif their saints and Muslims revered their Udero Laal and Saad Belo.
The problem is more connected with the economic circumstances. In most of these conversion cases, the girl belonged to lower (poor) Hindu caste and the boy/male was from an upper class (wadera) or had a support from rich people.

Intolerance has over all grown in the society, in Punjab it's not that much religion related (except qadiyanis) and sectarian.

true. Last 2-3 decades have evidenced an increase in intolerance levels. People forget to live with peace and harmony :(

Forced conversions are not a preserve of Sindh. Just recently there was a case of a Christian woman in Punjab being kidnapped with her children because her husband owed the local landlord some debt. Her husband was later told she had been converted and wouldn't be returning home. She fled, and is now in a shelter housing other Christians who have either been forcibly converted or accused of blasphemy. Pakistan is no place for minorities, whether they be Muslim or non-Muslim. If a Christian Minister can be shot in broad daylight, what chance do ordinary villagers have.

^ agreed but I didn't know about the Christian conversion case. But yes the most important case is from Punjab due to which salman Taseer was killed
