^ Next time, don't get the books printed for vision-impaired folks (big font and all). Ask for the normal print books. But ofcourse, that will only help if you can read (quickly). So there the mother tongue comes in handy. So, take obl's advice and buy a dictionary (with normal font).

Man! There seems to be some axe to grind.
Fazal Haq's classic "Zindgi" is pretty thick with Saqeel Urdu in its first chapter or two. You gotta use dictionary in almost 95% of the Urdu Speaking households (Based on survey conducted by Antiobl Alliance for Poling, with 3.2% margin of error). The same is true with many classics in English, Punjabi, or Pushto.
