Re: sindhi ghazals from sachal aur sabrina
Peace ashykh
Both the ghazals were written by: Late Ustad Bukhari ( a famous Sindhi poet) and sung by talented: Manzoor Sakheerani - both the poet and singer belong to Dadu, Sindh and they can truly be considered as identity of the town.
The song at 0:32 is 'Maa Chho bhi runo aahiyaan - For whatever reason I’ve cried. Beautiful poetry. One of my friend used to sing this song very nicely in college days
The song at 6:21 is 'Ehiyan aas andar main - A wish of my heart
This song has recently been remixed by a new singer, but the original is original. In video of remix version, you can see Yasir Shoro from Sanjhaa.
Re: sindhi ghazals from sachal aur sabrina
you are freaking AWESOME!!! thx soooo much!!
granted i dont understand a word of sindhi, but i just love these ghazals...they sound soo nice!, but i couldnt find them for the life of me, since i didnt know what to search!! lol ... thx a lot! :):)
Re: sindhi ghazals from sachal aur sabrina
there are other ghazals in this play as well i think part 2 or 3 ..dont be too shy to post those either!! =D =D
Re: sindhi ghazals from sachal aur sabrina
the :32 song "'Maa Chho bhi runo aahiyaan" sounds different in the video you posted compared to the one in the drama.
is it the same singer?
Re: sindhi ghazals from sachal aur sabrina
The singer is same, but it sounds different to you because the version used in drama was from studio recording version and the link I provided was probably some public performance. I think, the following version is same as used in drama.
Re: sindhi ghazals from sachal aur sabrina
I think all the songs used in the drama were taken from old albums of Manzoor Sakhirani. Let me know the parts where the songs are used, I’ll definitely post links for the songs.
This was used in first scene of the drama. Haa maa tuhinje bina kujh bhi na aahiyan (I’m nothing without you)
This is also used at 7:30 of part 3 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=diRDPrd3Q4k&feature=related)
My cousin, who used to run a CD/DVD shop, told me that Manzoor Sakhirani was even praised by Lata Ji for his melodious voice and variation in pitch. He had a recording where Manzoor sung Lata’s old songs.
Re: sindhi ghazals from sachal aur sabrina
This one used at 7:35 of part 1 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F4o7oZ5-tDE&feature=related)
This has recently been remixed by a new singer Shehryar Ali. Shehryar voice is good, but the extra music used and the irritating girl (never saw such a restless soul in my life) ruined it.
Re: sindhi ghazals from sachal aur sabrina
Used at 3:30 of part 2 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=diRDPrd3Q4k&feature=related)
Re: sindhi ghazals from sachal aur sabrina
Background music (without voice) at 5:00 of part 4 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zqfUIv2NCJs) has been taken from Shah Latif’s Sur Raano (beautifully sung by Abida Parveen)
Re: sindhi ghazals from sachal aur sabrina
The wedding song (sehra in Sindhi) used at 0:40 of part 5 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EOXRCh6jsQY&feature=related) is Hathen Gul Mehendi originally sung by Jiji Zareena Baloch (Grandmother of Sassi Paleejo - Sindh Minister for Culture).
Re: sindhi ghazals from sachal aur sabrina
Song used at 6:50 of part 5 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EOXRCh6jsQY&feature=related) is Jee jin khe chayam by Manzoor Sakhirani. This one of the most favorite songs of my elder sister.
This has been remixed by Najaf Ali and is one of those remixes that not ruined the original version.
The guy with Sanam Iqbal is Sanam Baloch’s brother.
Re: sindhi ghazals from sachal aur sabrina
Wow Thx sooo much! :)
