Re: Sindhan, Punjaban, Bangalan
Pashtun lady could be khanum.
Thats the title. By this analogy, Sindhi lady is Saa'inn (n as in Punjabi's sohniya) or Jiji.

Re: Sindhan, Punjaban, Bangalan
Sindhiyani Bangalan Punjaaban PaThaanin Gujraatan Madraasan [all South Indians] Chamaarin Paasin
Last two are professions? like Loharan, Sonnaran ( oh that Najji Sonaaran from Mansha Yaad's Punjabi novel). nahi?
Re: Sindhan, Punjaban, Bangalan
Its SindhRi. Its refer to Sindh and not to Sindhi lady. How they refer to Pathan lady in Urdu?
pathani i guess. First of all this pathan/pathani word is crude amd improper. In strict sense is is derogatory like word paki. It was invented by indians and desis/indics of paksitans, british picked it from them.....But note that all historians and most of the british ones have used word afghan for us, it is word that we use for ourselves in literature, poetry and speeches.
If you ask any pashtun whether he likes to be addressed as pathan or pashtun? he would say pashtun/pakhtun.....pashtun/pakhtun is the most precise and proper word.....
And to answer your question......word for pashtun lady is "pashtana", never call her pathani

Its "pashtana"
we do use khanam but it is not a collective surname like khan, mostly we attach "bibi" or tribal name to the end of their names.....interestingly many mohajirs of karachi and indian pathans use khan surname for their females e.g saira khan, ayesha khan etc.......you wont find any pashtun lady with khan surname
