I am talking about the economic or scientific / academic impact on sindh. In that sense, muslim sindhis were far behind hindus just like how I have seen some indian muslims blame the mouhajirs (upper or middle class intellectuals) that left for Pakistan and left the dumb ones, to be politically incorrect, behind in india.

Sindh could have been much different if there was less rigidness in the sindhi identity like punjabis and they had made a collation (as AP uncle says) to get themselves educated. But I guess that it might not be possible since that would mean the end of wadera in sindh. Right now, it seems that someone would have to come save interior sindh as the sindhi middle class has no initiative to take on the waderas like punjabis did with the industrialization of north and central punjab.

all four current provinces (including Punjab) has that situation when you talk about economic, scientific, academic contributions. Hindus were ahead every where and that was the fear which finally lead to demand for separate country of Muslims.

Muslims in united India detested modern education (remember people like Sir Syed Ahmed Khan being termed as British agent). The story of low to no representation Sindhi Muslim middle class dates back to 16th / 17th century Afghan invasions (by Arghun and Tarkhan rulers).
