That is very true. And the reason it does not happen is the party you so fervently support. PPP.
PPP has won every election from rural Sindh and has led provincial governments in the province most of the time. And if they have ignored the very places which elected them then it is PPP that is to be blamed.
Actually, the problem is the wadera and landlord system still prevalent in the province. These people are so much into corruption that they don’t see any purpose of being in the government besides minting money from any source possible.
The question about development in Sindh is not if it can happen but if it will be allowed by wadera-shahi. Remember Qudratullah Shahab’s account of two landlords fighting to create schools in EACH OTHER’s areas (not their own).
So will waderas give up their control of common people of Sindh by allowing them education and development?
That’s the question.
Another example to support the point in the last para. PPP established Rural and Urban quota system in the province in 70s for the period of 20 years. (Even though it didn’t happen in any other province). Aim was to bring rural areas at par with urban areas. But it never happened. “20 years” have come and gone several times but Sindh Rural and Sindh Urban divide is still there in government jobs.
