Sindh Chief Minister Ali Muhammad Mehar has resigned from his post.
The resignation comes after days of violence which left over 23 people dead in the provincial capital, Karachi.
Sindh Governor Dr. Ishratul Ibad disclosed this while talking to newsmen at the Governor House in Karachi .
I think they should all resign keeping inview the recent killings and law and order situation. We were not safe earlier but now the situation is even worse. you never knoe where you'll be blown off and somehow all these recent bombs went off close to my place, so the fear factor creeps in...

When will Musharraf resign? Why blame the Sindh CM for this? It's not like he has any real power to do anything without Musharraf's blessings.

Haris, you know as well as I do that firing the Sindh CM will solve absolutely nothing when the guy had no power to stop the terrorists from the beginning. Musharraf controls the army and he can bring them in and round up the mullahs in a couple of days. When it's a question of stopping MQM, toppling government, the army comes out in 15 mins, but when it's the lives of karachittes, it will take 5 years to bring the army out.

i agree, karachi needs the army today more than ever. i cant understand why they dont bring it in...? again i think its out of fear of the political unrest that the so called friggin 'democrats' will create. i think these fans of democracy love 'democracy', that too so called, more than Pakistan and its citizens and are ready to forego pakistans good for their false pursuits to restore democracy, which will ensure their authority to ravage the country further.
