Re: Sindh Assembly members don’t even know who presented Pakistan Resolution!
For those of you who still don’t know the answer ![]()
The resolution was presented by **A. K. Fazlul Huq
Re: Sindh Assembly members don’t even know who presented Pakistan Resolution!
Buri baat. :nono: Khain gay nahee to baray kaisay hongay?
LOL. Pretty trivial stuff, everyone should know this. Or at least I hope most here do.
This is one of the few nuggets of history that most students remember form the matric/intermediate level.
Re: Sindh Assembly members don't even know who presented Pakistan Resolution!
Yeh bhi koi baat hai?
shukar hai pehli khatoon ne yeh nahin keh diya: 'Jee mein ney nahin pesh ki!'

What is a big deal? Who cares who presented the resolution? The main question should be is that resolution was implemented? The answer is no. That is why that resolution failed in 1971.
Many people even don't know national anthem. do you?
Re: Sindh Assembly members don’t even know who presented Pakistan Resolution!
The reaction of Shazia Marri was disgusting though (for the lack of a softer word).
DAWN channel has this really annoying (for them, quite fun for us viewers) reporter that likes to stick (in Urdu he’d be called chipku) into the people he is interviewing. He was the guy that interviewed Gen. Aslam Baig recently in which the former COAS got angry. I believe it was even shared here in Pakistan Affairs.
Anyway, I think it was him conducting this interview above, and hence the moment Shazia Marri saw his face she skedaddled.

I would expect everyone (primary education atleast) to know the anthem or atleast 80% of it (because that is the first thing you sing every morning!!)
That has more to do with our own nalaiqian. The resolution itself can't be blamed - Pakistan did come into existence afterall. It is a bit like saying 73 constitution was a failure because it failed to stop so many subsequent military coups!!

Re: Sindh Assembly members don’t even know who presented Pakistan Resolution!
Its a pity that Sher e Bangal was later called Ghadar e Pakistan by the subsequent military Govt that enhanced the sense of humiliation in Bengalis.
Last year, I attended a seminar, where a delegation from Bangla Desh was also present. Mr Javed Jabbar (Former Minister) commented that Pakistan survived even the majority denounced / disowned the two-nation theory. At this a guy from Bangla Desh delegation raised and said we were made to denounce this theory by calling our leaders ghaddar and it didn’t happen in one day, we had to face discrimination from first day.
I think we should know the names of people who made our history, but the most important is to know what happened in history with unbiased perspective.
Re: Sindh Assembly members don't even know who presented Pakistan Resolution!
Im surprised none of them answered with Bhutto.

Anyhow … right answer was: Sain GM Syed
Unfortunately, GM Syed, the first and only politician (as far as I know) who presented ‘Karardad-e-Pakistan’ in any assembly (he presented Pakistan resolution in Sindh Assembly … I believe in 1940 after Lahore Resolution … and got the resolution accepted) was later got known as ‘Ghaddar’ by ‘Real Traitors’ of Pakistan.
Guilt of GM Syed was that GM Syed after independence raised his voice for rights of Sindh and people of Sindh within Pakistan, but Traitors who after birth of Pakistan started thinking that it is their birth right to rule, loot, plunder, and exploit all provinces of Pakistan, felt threatened by voice of GM Syed.
Re: Sindh Assembly members don't even know who presented Pakistan Resolution!
What do you think was the ideology of GM Syed, which made people call him traitor?

As far as I know ... GM Syed stood for:
‘Justice’ and ‘Live and let Live’
He wanted all provinces to be part of Pakistan on basis of equality, and was against exploitation of one province (people of that province) by another.

I am sorry, I heard the question wrongly. Right answer is actually **A. K. Fazlul Huq **as 'Golden Asif' mentioned.
After seeing the video again, I realised that reporter asked who presented Karardad-e-Pakistan.
Initially, I felt the question is: Who presented Karardad-e-Pakistan in Assembly.
Rest what I wrote about GM Syed, I believe is right.
