After work, he felt as if melted lead is poured on his head, but as he heard his house was on fire, he forgot head ache (due to sleepless nights), and rushed to his house.
His mother resisted, but being a sensable and convincing person he showed his concern by sincerely helping her. In the end he saw a puppy trapped in fire, but being soft hearted, he risked his life to save it along his family.
So much concern for even a puppy! BUT,…Why didn’t the same sensable, soft hearted and eloquent person showed “ANY” sincere concerns when his family was moving towards an ever lasting 3000 times more hot fire, due to their carelessness in daily activities ?
Well said! true, we PROCLAIM to love our relatives, friends, etc, but where does all that love disappear to when that same person is carving a straight path to hell! but the love for ppl to end up in heaven should not be limited to those we are related to, it should be for all Muslims.
The Messenger of Allaah, , said: Whoever misses the Asr prayer, it is as if he has lost his family and wealth. [Related by al-Bukhaaree (2/30), Muslim (626) and others, from the hadeeth of IbnUmar,]
And despite the above hadith, we do not hasten to guide our fellow muslims to adhere to prayers, as well as other aspects of worship.
