And beauty is a woman’s prerogative, I thought let’s review hair, makeup etc products that we like and work for us and beauty tips. Please say what kind of hair and skin type you have too.
Okay, I’ll start off. I have curly, dry, frizzy hair. I use any shampoo that’s there but pay attention to the conditioner. The best I’ve used are:
Binge - 2500 Calorie Intensive Conditioner
pros - softness, manegeability
cons - results are not long lasting, no shine, tiny bottle, too pricey on a lowly student’s budget
Nature’s Gate - Henna Conditioner for Natural Highlights
One of my favorites. Not specifically for dry hair but does what it promises: elasticity, shine, highlights, and healthy looking hair
cons - not enough moisture, need to use a lot, finishes too quickly
JASON - Natural Biotin Conditioner
pros - lovely tingly feeling, no residue, shine, natural ingredients
cons - very little moisture
Mane n’ Tail Moisturizer / Texturizer
pros - results that last! very moisturizing, very soft maneagable hair, no residue, hair feels good to touch
cons - icky scent, equally icky bottle not enough shine
Umm face and body products. Don’t use any, just gimme some body oil.
I have always loved my hair. It’s straight, shiny, and silky. What more could I ask for, right? … I can pretty much use any shampoo, it doesn’t matter. I am going to my mom’s salon tomorrow to get my hair curled ..I will definitely take some quality pics and post em… : ) … the shampoo i am using right now is DIAMETRESS -you can’t find a better shampoo on the martket. (my mom is a hair stylist) … …
i love my hair as well - long, silky, shiny and light brown with redish touch to it all natural *wink].
I surely use a lot of desi nuskey as you may call it. I prefer Thermasilk but thinking to change the shampoo now.... something more natural perhaps...
clinique is pretty good otherwise for regular use clean and clear is just fine.
I have dry brittle short hair, and it is a horrible kinda colour. I blowdry it everyday or else it kinks in the most unsexy fashion (ref: kinky), its horribly KINKED, when nothing is done, its not even curly or wavy.
I get it cut regularly so it doesnt get in the way.
At the moemnt I have red in it, phunky
its too long at the mo. I look lke a gran.
I use whatever. Whatever my sisters use. They have amazing hair mashallah sai, theyused to be able to sit on it. They’d had a trim since.
Face wise, E45 if its the in thing at my house.
That haldi ka mask for my face, sometimes, if i remember, and nothing for my body.
I have combination hair and skin: hair gets oily at the roots, dry at the ends. Face is also T-zone.
Biolage Shampoo: Use it every once in a while. Cleans my hair well and leaves it smelling nice, managebale and bouncy.
Head & Shoulders: For dandruff. Thats the only reason I use it for, usually once a week.
Conditioner: I usually dont have enough time for this. But I do like Loreal Vitave (I think or something similiar). Very good stuff, leaves my hair very soft and silkish.
Also a good but extremely choice is Kerastase. Smells heavenly and makes my hair silky. Similiar results as Loreal stuff. Dunno why i spent a fortune here. :D
Face
Cleanser: I have acne prone skin and Murad has the best cleanser out there I have ever used.
Moisturiser: I have really liked Oil of Olay in the past. I usually use Fair and Lovely mostly becuz it smells good to me. :D
Re: Since hair is a woman's crowning glory and all
I use it as a final rinse so once you are done with ur shampoo and all, rinse your hair with this mix and dont need to use water after. Hair is shiny and smells fresh and citrusy
Re: Since hair is a woman's crowning glory and all
^ interesting... could u put up the quantity pls... :)
i have long loose curls.. they may sound nice but try dealing with them..
i usually leave coconut or olive oil in for at least an hour before i wash my hair.. and dont find the need to condition it... but lately ive been straightening it a bit too often, so its gone slightly dryish.. but nto too bad
it doesnt matter to me what shampoo/conditioner i use...
