Yes inages and media play very important role in developing an image. Since pictures only capture a moment, they can easily be used to manipulate public opinion about a personality or an event.
ADDENDUM: Threads with images like this belong to "Image Central", but we are making an exception here because it raises an interesting issue that how seemingly NORMAL images can be used to manipulate public opinion.
