anybody ever worn or bought pure silver jewelery? is sterling silver the same thing? From the tiny bit of research i’ve done (i.e., visited shops in queens 
) it seems like most aritfiical sets are made of silver but have gold paint on them..whcih will make them black after some time. I saw another necklace today and the shopgirl told me that its pure silver so it iwll not turn dark after some time, but it was also quite expensive compared to other costume sets i’ve seen..so is it worth it???

You’re a little late –
agreed that gold is stupid expensive so I’ve switched over to costume jewelry as well, lekin I always get silver with gold plating – its true they look more authentic and dont turn color as easily as regular stuff.
They are more expensive but look great.
I’ve gotten tons of stuff form
I find queens to be expensive

pure silver & sterling silver r 2 different things/ elements
and if u really wanna buy that sort of jeweller & not sure how long it's gonna last , than better buy something small first , like a ring or just earings ( instead of buying a lot of it) use it and figure out it's quality & durability yrselves

My MIL brought some really beautiful jewellery of this kind last year and she told me they’re a bit expensive but I think you should look around or maybe ask your mom to bring some from Pakistan next time. I also saw some nice sterling silver with gold color jewelry on Urban Design Concepts and Hajra Hayat facebook group, most sets cost around $200-250. Really pretty stuff! :k:
