Silliest Thing Your Kids Have Done....

As I’m cleaning up my kids’ playroom, I find pencils with the eraser tips missing and my blood starts to boil..why, you ask…read on:

A few months ago, my 6 yr old twins caught a nasty bacterial infection which had them running very high temps (103-104 degrees)…while were at the ped’s office, they had to be iced down to bring down their temps, it was then I noticed something weird in one of the boys’ ears…it looked like his ear canal was blocked, but I coulnd’t tell if it was wax, or something else..I had the nurse call our doctor in, and when she tried to look with her scope she couldn’t tell either…so we had to have 2 nurses hold down this howling, feverish, shivering child, while the dr irrigated his ear with a water pic, and pryed out…A CHEWED UP PENCIL ERASER!! Yes, that’s right, my pagal bacha had stuffed a pencil eraser into his ear…I have no idea how long it had been in there, or even WHY…at that point, after dealing with their illness all week, I was too tired to care.

I wish I could say this was isolated incidence, but alas…it’s not! We once caught him getting a watch battery (the small, round button batteries),stuck up his nostril! Thank god I was able to dislodge it myself…

So all you moms out there, tell me…what’s the weirdest/strangest/silliest thing your child has done???

Re: Silliest Thing Your Kids Have Done....

my cousin swallowed one of those small batteries and then calmly walked up to her mom and confessed! they had to wait for it to come out in her poo which meant regular poo checks by my aunt and uncle. ewwww lol

Re: Silliest Thing Your Kids Have Done....

well my son 5 yrs, also with high fever and dr. ended up finding a piece of plastic in his year.

Re: Silliest Thing Your Kids Have Done…

When my brother was little he had to go to hospital to get a lego piece removed that he’d stuck up his nose, also got his hand stuck in the video player slot :smack:

I once put my finger in the hinge of a gate and when someone opened it the top was sliced off :teary1:

Re: Silliest Thing Your Kids Have Done…

My son put a screw up his nose and my daughter stuff a corn seed up her nose . I was able to take out that screw from his nose with the help of wife’s tweezers. But for my daughter I had to take her to ER because nothing I tried worked, the corn seed kept slipping deeper and deeper as they are slippery.

ER doctor used a very easy trick to get it out and ER charged 250 dollars although my wife did all the work.

What he did was ask my wife to plug the other nostril which was open and blow air my daughter’s mouth which worked like a charm and that seed flew out her nostril. :smack:
If I knew that trick I could have save 250 dollars for the HMO who paid for it.

Re: Silliest Thing Your Kids Have Done....

i have stuck my finger under the sewing machine needle and ran my finger through it, when i was about 6.

Over the weekend, my lil sis (16) was eating wafer biscuits. i asked her for the last vanilla one, but she didn't want to give it, and shoved the whole thing in her mouth. She choked on it really bad, and i had to hit her really hard on the back, and hold her hair back while she vomitted it out.... taught her a lesson

Re: Silliest Thing Your Kids Have Done…

My son used to ask me to take out all the bubbles from his glass of milk before he would drink it. :smack:
And he would ask to remove all the badam and pista flakes from kheer before he would eat it. He loved kheer. :smack:

Re: Silliest Thing Your Kids Have Done…

When I was little…my mom (while cleaning the house) would find eggs in random places …because I had the brilliant idea of incubating them in drawers to hatch choozay.

My brother and I would bug my mom when she’d lie down for an afternoon nap. So one day…being bored…I saunter into my mom’s roon and I see that she’s sleeping. So I say “Mama” a few times and she doesn’t wake up. I shake her and she doesn’t wake up. My mom was actually playing dead…it was a cruel joke…and she wanted to see how we’d react. So, seeing that she’s not responding…I go tell my brother. We both come back and trying waking her up…to no avail. So, my brother…being smarter than me…said that we should call my dad at work since we were taught to call his number for emergencies. But I had a much better idea. I told him how I’d seen that throwing water on a person could wake them up. He might have resisted the idea…but then gave in. I went to get some water. Now, the whole time that my brother and I were deciding what to do…my unresponsive mom was listening to us. She assumed that I would just get a glass from the kitchen and fill it about quarter way with water and throw some cheentay on her face. BUT NOPE. Little did she know that I went straight to the bathroom and grabbed the tall lota (which was a lemonade pitcher). Brought it back to the room…brimming all the way to the top with cold water…and threw it on her. The paani went through her nose, mouth…and she abruptly sat up coughing and gasping and she quickly got up to change cuz her clothes were drenched. Surprisingly I was spared the lecture because I think my mom realized she was partly to blame for what happened. :hehe:

Re: Silliest Thing Your Kids Have Done....

My cousin (when she about 1 year old) deliberately swallowed a coin. Then sauntered off to confess to her mom. She called out "Amma"....and somehow the mom knew from her tone that there was trouble so she snapped at her "Kya kiya ha tum nai!!?!!" And my lil cousin was like "Coin main pait main chala gayi." THe funny thing was that while she's the one was in trouble......she tried calming her mom down "Main teek hoon Amma...teek hoon" LOL

Re: Silliest Thing Your Kids Have Done....
