Heard that there is no requirement of Pilgrimage in Sikh religion like other religion of the area?
So why Darbar Amritsar was built and that was inaugurated by Muslim Sufi Hazrat Miyan Meer in earlier period of Sikhi?

Re: Sikh Pilgrimage and Darbar Amritsar
Theologically, there is no requirement of pilgrimage. Darbar Sahib also known as Harminder Sahib was made on Amrit Saravor, Amrit Sarovar is said to be that pool from which Bhagwan Ram took water to bring out his army from unconsciousness caused by Luv and Kush.
Akbar granted the land to Sikhs, and pir mian mir laid the foundation of it making it place that can be worshipped by anyone, to this date there is no restriction on entering gurudwara, one can be of any religion but one has to observe all etiquettes. It serves as centre of Sikh religious authority and has Akal takht, perennial seat of GuruGranthSahib, the eleventh eternal guru is situated with in precincts of Darbar Sahib.
Re: Sikh Pilgrimage and Darbar Amritsar
Ok so everyone is allowed to enter Darbara Amritsar irrespetive of his / her religion. How about the use of pool you referred? Is it allowed for non- Sikh people to take bath there?
Re: Sikh Pilgrimage and Darbar Amritsar
Muslims never enter Gurudwara because one has to bow at GuruGranthSahib, the eternal guru, yes entering amritsarovar is allowed for everyone, during one of attacks Abdali filled it with corpses of muslims along with hindus and sikhs.
Re: Sikh Pilgrimage and Darbar Amritsar
Abdali's attacks didn't help Muslims (as was the intention of people like Shah Wali ullah). He killed Indians irresptive of their religion. Baba Bulleh Shah also detested Abdali.
Besides Darbar Amritsar, what are other important pilgrimage points for Sikhs? Panja Saheb and the Gurdwara in Hasan Abdal , Pakistan seems important for Sikhs.
