We've been through this a million times. These jokes ARE offensive.

If I say all Pakistanis are idiots, it doesnt matter if I put "no offense" in brackets. It's STILL offensive.

^ Dude, the joke didn't call Sikh idiots. It's not crude or inappropriate. It's just light humor. People post Pathan jokes and there have been jokes posted on Pakistanis in the past. Ofcourse, some people didn't like it, but it wasn't removed (to be fair).

The "joke" is a racist insult. It's implicit in the title and very explicit in the joke itself. To say that a Sikh cant tell the difference between his last name and the word "relaxing" plays on the stereotypical dirty, stupid, incompetent Sikh.

Of course you wont speak up against it. Just like you did nothing to stop racist jokes during your realm as moderator

Actually, I did. That was the first thing I said was that I wanted to no longer allowed Sardar jokes, but then people explained to me that it would eliminate a lot of the jokes and people are laughing at the joke itself not because it's on Sardars. Jokes on blondes, pathans, monks, preists, are allowed but the only one you're complaining about is the Sardars. If jokes aimed towards specific groups of people were no longer allowed, there would hardly be any jokes left to post here.

And if you want to be even the least bit consistent with this why don't you go rant in the thread titled "...Muslims..." in the jokes forum. According to your argument, that joke is playing on the stereotype that Muslims are intolerant, cruel, and violent.

Yea, the name Iqbal is still used. I heard this joke recently but couldn’t remember the first name used in it.. so the first thing that popped in my mind was a friend’s name: iqbal singh :hehe:

If you do not understand the definition of the word ‘joke’ (i.e. something not to be taken seriously), then you should not come to this forum.
