Signs of Weakness

Musharaf is now shivring from the fear of losing power and his neck. one can easily see this signs. The 1st one is Core-Commanders conference, since when did army cheif needed Core-Commanders to issue a statement in his defence. I re-call Bhutto asked for the same and army did said, yes we are with you and weeks after that, they threw him away and later hanged him. no core-commander ( supports or not) will going to say NO, if asked by his cheif that he supports him or not?? i don’t know why Mush. needed the garantees from his sub-ordinates, is there any rumour that Army is now sick of him and going to get rif of him, because in the long history of USA and Army, they always get rid of the person who is disliked in Public and/or becomes the reason of their very own dislikeness.

2ndly, Mush have opened another front, that is agains media, how can now this “soft hearted” dictator will face hard questioning of international media? how will he clarify himself against the brutal attack of international media? he have no control over them, and they do like expose the kind of scenario Mush have created! Local Media has been restricted, People will move to international media, and they will show what masses want to see…

He is showing the signs of weakness, i think he also knows that his days are numbered, all he is trying to do is to strech them as far as he can…

“death is better than disgrace” the slogan has now forgotten

Re: Signs of Weakness

Comitting mistakes after mistakes - as he now fears his life.

P.S. It is Corp Commander. Anway English is not our mother-tongue.

Re: Signs of Weakness

You and Army should be grate ful to me by not using most popular term for them, instead i used CORE, coz they are commanding the core of Pakistan ( after providing garantees to their cheif) , CORP - Commanders on other hand, keep themselves to their core business

Re: Signs of Weakness

Beautiful pun by you then! I am grateful!

Something afoot?

Re: Signs of Weakness

Instead of speaking some sense he is confused like never before..!

His days might be numbered but i hope something better comes up. After all changing of governments is not a joke. It could even destabilize Pakistan. Such dictators come and go, nobody lives for ever. Lets hope things go for the better.

We may hate him for his anti-Islamism (anti-Pakistanism) but what may come ahead may be very sad and even worse.

The harder i try to be optimistic, the more i realize that things can be quite hopeless.

Re: Signs of Weakness

I wonder who is advising him with all this stupidity. He is an embarrassment to the country and its people. Seriously does he crave power that badly? What happened to doing this for the betterment of the nation. But alas it is true.

Power corrupts but absolute power corrupts absolutely.

Re: Signs of Weakness

The army will save Pakistan again. They will remove this MQM person. But there is a fear that there could a war within army between the secular and the religious factions.

Re: Signs of Weakness

I agree, but i guess after 60 years for this is the only reason we as a nation are standing/fighting for right thing, supremacy of the law/constitution.

Re: Signs of Weakness

In begining his advisers were well educated people, they were clean and they wanted country to prosper, and they did that in within first three years, later he got those advisers who were the prime reasons of BB and NS's fall. so what else one shoule accept?

Re: Signs of Weakness

Army have to do something, because their rep. is at stake

Re: Signs of Weakness

I would slightly disagree here. Had we been fighting for supremacy of law (and that too Islamic law and shariah of Muhammad :saw: ; since i consider supporting any other law as kufr), we would have not been in this abyss as were today.

This is our dilemma… for example, banning media and restricting freedom of expression is unacceptable, however that same media is dancing to the tunes of its western masters. What Pakistanism does it promote? All it promotes is hooliganism, Indian-ness and obscenity… most of the time.

Re: Signs of Weakness

So it was all due to this western imposed democracy that he had to hold elections and take in the plunderers and terrorists in his government! Otherwise he was doing fine before that?

Re: Signs of Weakness

Cannot disagree to what u have said, but to whom we should turn to achieve the implementation of Islamic Shairah? i don’t see any head standing for that, if there is any i’ll be first to volunteer myself to that jihad.

Re: Signs of Weakness

So you also don’t understand the concept of free media? They are showing what people want to see. And shariah is a cruel and barbaric law that I hope never happens in Pakistan. Our current laws are bad enough with the little bit of shariah we have in them. Mullahs and army have always been hand in hand and are the enemies of Pakistan.

Re: Signs of Weakness

I am afraid answer is yes, he continued the reforms of previous govt. ( very unlike in Pakistan) he took criticism, he made traders to pay tax and he did manage to get the country out of financial ****. but after the elections ( since he got involved in politics) his performace was on downfall, frustration could be seen in enviornment, and it is that frustration that have made CJ a hero, otherwise who would have known him.

Re: Signs of Weakness

Well i dont want to discuss the Shairah with non-muslims and/or who have not even the basic knowledge of Shairah and calling it barbaric, yet they themselves are very much known for their barbaric behaviour.

Re: Signs of Weakness

And what mullah gave you the right to declare me non-muslim? And its funny coming from someone named "hanibal".

Shariah of Taliban mullahs is pro gang rape, pro honour killing and pro intolerance. Nobody in Pakistan wants that.

Re: Signs of Weakness

Agree

Re: Signs of Weakness

i would second what hanibal said...

and also add, i don't discuss when jahils use such language.
