Captain FT I don't think there's any mention of sun rising from the West in Quran but indeed the description of the Day of Judgement has been mentioned in various Surahs.
detoxed I believe there are some Ayat and Ahadith which are literal and some are metaphores and some are both. Allah hu Alim.
There's actually some scientific research that shows that rising sun from west might happen only for once and then it will start rising from east again. So, we can only assume about the literal or metaphorical meanings of hadith.
hareem yes i have seen there is no such thing written in Quran about sun rising from west it is only saabit from this hadith,
but the thing to consider is that the people researching on scientific reasons have a limited mind a man could not think more of the limits which he is given by Allah and when the scientists say that sun will rise from west for once then it will again start rising from east then how could it happen? ur a muslim u must first of all think that the sun will only rise in west at the day of qyamah and when it will rise then Qyamah will come, then how could the scientists predict more after Qyamah that what and from where sun will rise from east. except Allah tells us?
so as our minds are little so our research is also liitle. not capable of understanding all things
:)
