Question should be that ‘Are we’ll be alive at the time of His coming’.

We are supposed to follow the right person (him) when he’ll come.

so you’re only concerned about yourself? You dont want to pass the right teachings of Islam to your generations ? This shows your level of imaan on the coming of Mahdi. You seem very certain that He cannot appear in your lifetime, and we shouldnt worry about it at all. You should avoid such thinking. It’s dangerous.
