How can you notice signs of depression in other people? Like they are not happy all the time?They are bored from world? They don t like to socialize

I think its very hard to pin down depression by certain symptoms coz there are so many different types of depression.
however , physical symptoms might include a person crying over little things , losing appetite, slower speech ... always looking like they havnt slept in ages ... Laziness ...
suicidal thoughts , or always feeling like its the end of the road with no hope for survival etc etc ...

People with depression very easily hide their feelings in front of people..
I think it is the opposite they are loud and happy-go-lucky in front of people.

A depressed person can act either too quiet or too attention seeking and outgoing .. its a totally individual based symptom ...
However , suicidal thoughts is definitely a strong sign of depression .. at least its classed that here in the UK ...
Suicidal thoughts are signs of extreme depression, I don't know about being quite for a long time.

depression can affect people in different ways. but most common tell-tale symptoms are alot of crying, feelings of hopelessness and helplessness, sometimes anger, overeating or undereating, lack of sleep or too much sleep and a general lack of interest in living or experiencing life.
