Are you officially signed up in the Alumni organisation of your College / uni?

What do you think are the benefits of doing so?

I did, and it is always a source for news and social events, I am in a diff city than my undergrad and grad schools so the activities are less frequent, but we have enough of an alumni presence here that we have quarterly events which are fun, plus networking, finding people to bounce ideas off etc is always good. Everytime I go back to either of the unis, letting alumni group know i am around would ensure that there is some mixer to meet with old and new friends.

yes, i did. it gives you and your friends the opportunity to find each other and establish contacts. other junior members of my university sometimes contact me to get advice.

Yes, I did too but it is inactive.

I have seen no benefit other than appeals from them for donations. :bummer:
