I think all schools in the subcontinent begin with some sort of prayer :). Do pakistanis have a chance to study sanskrit in university ? I know it is not as common to study at school level there but are not the students of ancient history and archeology required to learn ?

I don’t think that sanskrit is taught in any of the universities of Pakistan. Ali Syed may have a better idea.
